Technology stocks are taking a beating today and the tech heavy Nasdaq Comp. is on track to have its worst day since August. Going into the closing bell, the index is trading near the low of the day, down 2.1%. Volatility is surging as well— the CBOE Nasdaq 100 Volatility Index (VXN) traded up to the highest level since Oct. 3rd.
