The futures are looking a bit higher this morning on hopes Washington can come together for a deal to extend unemployment benefits that have recently expired.  Given the atmosphere in Washington it is very tempting to go down the rabbit hole of pondering what it looks like if there is no deal, we believe the risk of no deal to both sides is large enough politically in an election year to force a compromise this week.  The market seems to agree or futures would be down rather than nearly a half percent higher in the early going.
