The major indices traded in and out of positive territory, ending the day closer to the highs, and bouncing back from two days of losses. The S&P 500 Index (SPX), which was down 0.5% mid-afternoon, closed higher by 0.34%. The Russell 2000 outperformed with a 1.0% gain.
